Expertise: Mr. Sayers represents a diverse range of clients including banks, large and small businesses, commercial developers and healthcare facilities. Mr. Sayers has extensive experience in the offer and sale of securities, asset acquisitions, mergers, purchase and sale of commercial property, financing, secured transactions, franchising, estate law and administration, landlord and tenant law and healthcare issues. Mr. Sayers has worked on a variety of real estate transactions, including 1031 exchanges and low-income housing tax credit projects.
Recognition and community: Mr. Sayers is a frequent lecturer on a range of issues, including commercial real estate, federal securities and blue sky laws, real estate title issues, entity selection, and 1031 exchanges. He is currently a member of the Roanoke Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, Virginia State Bar, and Roanoke Valley Estate Planning Council. Mr. Sayers is actively involved in the community having served on numerous non-profit boards and committees, including the Roanoke Valley Leadership Program, Junior Achievement of Roanoke Valley, The Blue Ridge Small Business Development Center and Friendship Foundation.
Education: Mr. Sayers earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia in 1976, and his Juris Doctor from Washington and Lee School of Law in 1981, where he was a member of Phi Delta Phi.
Personal: Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Mr. Sayers resides in Roanoke with his wife and two children.
